As to why, I just always felt it was rude to leave friends without saying good bye. I may or may not be going to a better place, but at least I can tip my hat and wave on the way out the gate when the time comes, just to let folks know they were my friends, not strangers I could give a hoot about.

That's right about at the top of the web inside the case, where the brass is transitioning to thin wall. Typical loose levergun chamber is my guess. You are not over pressure, and the primer looks fine..... Get some Starline yellow brass for your hot loads.

You cannot cheat engraving, either in equipment or practice. If you ever get serious, look up Jim Downing, "The Gun Engraver." He holds "chase" engraving classes every year and you learn to use an air engraver. Jim did a little scratching for me at a CAS regional a few years ago....
