Most of that style knife would be a little thin for most camp chores. It is a slicer after all. Food prep would be where I would leave it. Besides, you can sharpen a small piece of a finger thick branch and use it to baton into the log. No need to hit your knife.

That is quite interesting. I was not aware that the different venom types are not settling into whichever seems best suited for survival of the species in that particular location. Either way, I don't want to be on the receiving end of their bite.
