The only comment I can make is that I've NEVER had happen with either a model 1894 or 94 WINCHESTER! :P I've had them jam, but there was always an apparent cause. YMMV. And it's not just limited to Marlins. As I've had my son's Rossi .357 Mdl 92 clone do similar things. Jam or spit two, or stovepipe...

Don't get me wrong, your idea is valid in a closed environment such as NASA. The only two NASA facilities I've visited have gates and guards at every entry/exit. It's not an area that is a mixed use, i.e. both public and private buildings and roadways. NASA's facilities are more like a military base...

I still maintain that the grounds for an administration change should be the gross negligence which lead them to forbid properly trained citizens from carrying weapons of self protection on their campus. They should be held liable for the loss of life. There is no right to take away the means of se...

I know lots of folks that swear by the Cimarron Ubertis. I don't own one, but, have shot quite a few and find nothing that would dissuade me from buying one if I found one in a configuration that I wanted. Depending on your intended use, I think you'll be very happy with it. If you're thinking of sh...

Very likely just a trend. I just received a 1976 Colt catalog and price list. Makes me wonder why I didn't buy one or two of the 1851s back then: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d197/sass93/Coltprices.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d197/sass93/Coltprices1.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albu...

You would be fine with all three. The 30-30 is probably the flattest shooter in the bunch. Gotta agree. If you're confident w/any or all, I'd take the .44 or .45 if ranges were going to be ~125 or less. I'd stick w/the .30WCF if shots further out were likely. Good luck, welcome and please share pic...

Does anyone know what type of rod I would use to weld a flaw in a post '64 Winchester 94 Receiver? Or where about's to go to get an answer?

Hanz, Keep soaking it, use some heat and work with the screws. Get it apart. Clean and derust everything. If the chamber and bore and action isn't in bad shape it will work. At least ... that's what I'd do. Me too. I've got one as bad I'm going to rebuild: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d197/sas...

I've been doing some thinking along those same lines. Here's my dream rifle: Winchester 94, top eject, take down with 6 barrels. It needs to be in a rifle configuration, curved steel buttplate, nicely figured wood. I want the buttplate, receiver, lower tang, lever and forend cap color case hardened....

Leverguns Auction
Well, Little John's Levergun auction is history. My BIL bought two 94 Winchester SRCs. Paid ~$600 for one with almost no finish, but very nice condition otherwise (yet missing the ring), the other was about 60% finish and good condition and he paid $1,000. He said that your average SRC and Rifle wer...
