I use CCI segmented .22lr on squirrels, totally stops them DRT. Actually, those are thirteen-lined (I didn't count the stripes myself) ground squirrels. They are NOT chipmunks-which have stripes on the sides of the face. I'm wary of Chiappa quality after having a hammer snap in half on a muzzle loader, it looked like it was made of icing sugar, They did send me a free replacement though.
