Re: Parker puppies ( OT CHANGED)
Puppies are a great way to find out if a human is worth knowing. Depending on how a human treats the puppies, you can find out a lot. Puppies are mischevious and full of life.

One Great Uncle, born in Rawlins, Kansas, was a train engineer. Albert Wyant was a victim of mustard gas. He lived several more years, but was never healthy. Died in 1921.

Luck seems to favor those who practice and prepare. I am reasonably certain that he had practiced shooting at a distance. Buffalo tend tò move away from humans shooting them, and some shots were probably at a longer distance than would be ideal.

Wyatt was just there making sure that the fellers paying for his wife's time upstairs didn't go over the time paid for. Kind of surprised he didn't have mother-of-pearl handled revolvers.

500 yards with a handgun is impressive. 500 yards with a rifle is tougher than most people can truly accomplish, and a handgun has a much shorter sight radius. That handgun must be well made to be capable of such accuracy.

As far as prices, the 28 gauge us more available everywhere I shop, and is cheaper, too. Not sure why. It was about 10 years ago that I saw 28 gauge in the stores for the first time in my life. Used to see 410 all over for about $10 to $15 per box, but now it is $25 or more IF you can even find it.

Teething is sure to see a lot of damage to everything. I had to unplug every electric cord and put them up. An Irish terrier chewed through a 4 gauge set of jumper cables, all the way through, and left them in about 6 pieces. She loves wires.

The old Ruger Standard Model and Mark II were amazingly accurate. If you could see it, they could put a bullet in it. My best target off-hand (no rest) with a Mark II was 10 rounds at 25 yards that I could cover with a .38 Special case I picked up at the range.

Used to have a terrier mix which was mostly Border Terrier. She would chase arrows. I would get out the target, get my distance, and draw the bow, and she would be right by my feet. Never needed to give CPR. I have had a defibrillator used on me. It didn't work. Time of death was called. An hour or 2 later, the nurse had cleaned me up, bagged my stuff, and was waiting for the morgue to come get me when I started breathing again. I was told she screamed and ran out of the room. ...

I am not totally sure why so many of the Mini 30s are not very accurate. There are a few Mini 30s which are decently accurate. They can be accurized, bu...
