Re: Another OT question for you Harley drivers

I just got back from a small 330km ride on my Sportster with a mate up to Maldon here in Victoria. Joe, Ive only been riding motorbikes for one year and bought my Harley new last September. If I can do it at 25, I am sure you can! 2ndovc, Joe wants a Harley and you recommend a Honda shadow?

Reminds me, I have to get a weekend off work one of these days to try out some tame loads I made for my 1894 30wcf.

I would like the SRC version like KirkD's new purchase. Hard to find any old Winchesters and Marlins are generally a fair bit expensive compared to over there. The hard thing is just finding them, gone are the days of seeing any pre 64 Winchester on a gunshop rack. Ive only ever seen one in my life ...

Here it would probably leave a gunshop rack at around 700-900. Not that I would pay that for it. I have too many NIB comemmoratives but I have paid up to $950 for a couple of them that I just had to have. If you like it, bid on it and see how you go. Just one of those questions to make you think. What does high powered mean? Is a firearm 'high powered' once it achieves a certain level of velocity? Or a certain amount of energy or good old knock down power? To me, a high powered rifle would be a centerfire round such as a 30-30, 30-06, .223, 338 ...
