I grew up on some simple old rules for cold weather in a duck blind....Below about 10 degrees F- model 12 pump w/dry lube or no lube. Above 10 degrees F- Auto 5 no lube. Above freezing it doesn't matter. Never had a mechanical failure.

I had one, liked it too, a good shooting, fun .22. However someone liked it more than I, and it disappeared from my police station locker in 1974. I think I know who, just could never prove it. If it was who I thought it was, I have the last laugh..I out lived the bugger!

The sealer will probably work. Just one warning: Don't put a sealer or JB weld on the rivets if ever think that you might try to have it welded. Those thin aluminum boats are tough enough to weld when the are clean, but I have had guys bring in one after it was JB welded, and want me to weld it up....

Sounds like some real sound advice here. A re-barrel is the last resort. How the bore "looks" doesn't matter, how the target looks is another story. I would try every cleaning I could think of, every load, a re-crown maybe, then re-lining, and as a last resort a new barrel. They don't make...

3 things come to mind. Buggered up plastic follower, dented/out of round magazine tube, piece of crud or dirt. If you can get the plastic follower out, a light shown through the tube may tell you. It's a pretty simple mechanism, shouldn't be a hard fix.

Careful if you are using carburetor cleaner near any blued gun parts. Some of that stuff will freckle a blued part, (don't ask how I know!).

Kind of a cool video. However when an apex predator gets that nonchalant in human presence, I would be concerned that sooner or later a human will get hurt, and a cat will have to be killed. Sort of like when a 'yote starts acting like neighborhood fido, something is going to get hurt.
