I don't know the age. From what I understand the LL Bean models were a special edition. I really like the hinged flip top on the vintage model. What are you scoping?
Does it have to be a new scope?
If you're looking to do a scout type setup, there's a couple of dandy EER Leupold M8 2x scopes on eBay right now.
Those older Weaver 3x's are a great little scope. Still plenty around.

Griff, the only 2 screws I see up front are those securing the Scope Ring to the Base. If those are the ones you are referring to, they do not go through the Base and into the receiver. Is there another style/manufacturer of a Base ?? I only the the Weaver style I have, and that picture of the Will...
