I don't know what originally came in the bottle.
What I do know:
My very talented grandfather hand engraved it back in the early 70's.

Re: Vintage LL Bean Alpine Candle Lantern. (UCO)
I don't know the age. From what I understand the LL Bean models were a special edition. I really like the hinged flip top on the vintage model. Much easier to light, no sliding or touching the glass. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-l-bean-alpine-aluminum-409586909 https://youtu.be/N7a...

Think about this a little. Your opening line: "I don't have a 30/30 lever, only 44's, but feel it is needed." A year or so from now, will you be saying the same thing if you purchase anything other than a .30wcf lever? Get what you really want & feel you need. Do-overs get expensive an...

I hate a scope on a lever gun but my eyes love em. I may have to get a mount like that for my 1920's vintage 94. Hope you get your deer. It's all in perception. The old timers were after the optical advantage back in the day as well. You gotta admit, this 73 has a total cool factor to it. 8) This m...

What are you scoping?
Does it have to be a new scope?
If you're looking to do a scout type setup, there's a couple of dandy EER Leupold M8 2x scopes on eBay right now.
Those older Weaver 3x's are a great little scope. Still plenty around.
