Blackhawk, I have never heard of a 25-20 colt! You sure one was ever made? not factory but i have seen conversions, including a Chrities SAA with two cylinders one in 25/20 and one in 256 and with christies adjustable siights and wished it had bought it, but then i have this one: http://i248.photob...

Mike, you are right about this button arrangement. if i used this a lot especially with heavy weight loads, it would hammer itself pretty badly. i think of this gun as something to carry conveniently and use occasionally only. ii was hoping the taylors import was going to be available in 44 mag, but...

Show and tell but not sell: this started life as a winchester 1892 20" 44/40 carbine, by the time i got it, it had been rebarreled and reworked to 44 magnum; i sent it off to a montana fellow who was then living in south carolina and had him make it into a takedown and shorten it to legal trapp...

Pardon my ignorance, but didn't the Marlin 39 come out in 1939 ... after the advent of "high velocity" higher pressure 22 LR rounds? I would think that an 1897 would perhaps be a concern but I would not have thought that a 39 or 39A would need this addressed. I am fully prepared to be enl...

spencer 56/52 probably made in late 1860's, early 70's.

all the renegades have 1" barrels measured across the flats; hawkens come in two version 7/8" and 1" barrel slots. so be sure which you get before you order a spare barrel. the 7/8" came standard in 45 cal; you can even get a 7/8" .54 cal smooth bore interchangeable barrel. ...

they made the small frame guns, exactly the size of the ruger single six i beleive, but they also made a fullsize SAA frame gun [so did colt back in the 1800's, at least they made a few] and that full size gun is quite impressive, a chunk, but accurate and easy to point i have one of the full size g...

There have been a couple of topics on the little sharps from Charles Daly. One of the problems I remember was that the trigger guard is likewise reduced in size and some shooters thought it cramped. if you get one in 45 colt, it is a stuff shoot....some work, most dont, and this goes for the ubertis as well...local shop sent all the ubertis back. in 357 they may work and in 44/40 it is not problem, but the 45 colt rim is just too tiny for reliable extraction and feeding [ compare a 44/40 and a ...
