Ok, so I just tried another way, just, levergunscommunity.org/ Then clicked on discussion, and now the topics are in different colors, ?? I re-logged in, I'll check later to see if it takes.

Just speculating....but why not a 1911 carbine? The guns and ammo were already in the system, it would have been lightweight, the recoil manageable in a carbine, and no one ever dissed the 45's effectiveness. I can't imagine it would have been difficult to come up with a working model very quickly, ...

A true Kukri will handle brush, trees, bears, and two legged miscreants, but the reverse curve takes a little getting used to, needs more of a wrist snap to get the most out of it. The longer the barrel, the quieter it will be, Sub sonic ammo is twice as expensive then regular target rounds...which are sub sonic. Frankly, I doubt you get much more BTU's out of the second barrel to be worth it, a single barrel stove will drive you out from the heat.

I hear ya.... watched my mom wither away for almost 10 years, she didn't have alzheimers but a rare progressive "palsy", with dementia.

friend of mine swears by his un attached bipod, bogs?, I forget which one, they also have a tripod thats extremely stable, and the rest pivots, which is nice. If your on uneven ground then that may be a good option for you. If in a shooting house with bench then the attached bipod might work better.
