Re: 325 grain hornady 45/70 factory loads , TO Hot or NOT
G'day Greg,
Drop Hornady a line on that one. I don't know, so I would not use it. At 2000 fps for that ammo I would also like to know what the pressure is.
Your barrel has an 18'' twist, and you maybe better off with a heavier bullet and lower velocity.

If you have a truly limited production model, it maybe worth while not to shoot it. However not much is keeping up with inflation these days, so you may as well get the enjoyment out of shooting it. Some of the best shooting 94's are the octagonal barreled anniversary rifles. Few years back they wer...

Once again the lawyers come out smelling of roses.
If 100,000 guns are involved, that would mean a maximum of 300 bucks per gun to fix problems, or taurus will give the owner 150 or 200 bucks. An easy out for taurus.

Never believe in Ads, promises or sales people. I automatically replace those terms with the word lies or liar, that way, it saves disappointment. Generalizing here, but the best sales pitches are the biggest lies. Its sad to see that it is so readily accepted here in the USA in this day and age.

Match the voltage. The amps don't matter. An appliance will only draw as many amps as it needs. An example. Plug in 1x100 watt light bulb into your household circuit, and turn it on. 110v AC x 0.9 Amps = 100WATTS. Now ask yourself, what limits the bulb to only draw 0.9amps? There is nothing in the c...

Use an escrow service for the transfer. The seller sends the gun to escrow, and you send the money order to escrow. When they both arrive at the ecrow service, they then send the gun to you and the money to the seller.
It does not gaurantee what condition the gun is in, only that it arrived there.
