I've been a life member for many years. About a month ago I bought my 17 year old nephew a life membership. Gota look to the future..... :!:

Eastern Carbines would have the same long forarm as your saddle ring gun and were in the same era as the saddle ring carbines. I'd pick the 20s saddle ring carbine to keep.

I have several 94 carbines and one is a 20s era saddle ring. It's the last one I'd let go....

OT / Although I wish it wasn't....

Wouldn’t it be nice if Leverguns had a lounge area for OT posts? I’m not complaining and I do appreciate and thank the owners of Leverguns for providing this fine sight but I come here to read about, talk about and learn about lever guns. I find that I’m coming here less often and I think itâ€...

What Hobie said. I think it's 30 days before you can do anything with the insurance so you're about there.

I usually get signature conformation in addition to insurance.

I believe it's a Marlin. Dennis, (or anyone else) do you have a picture of an early Marlin you could post? I'd like to take a look at it, just for grins. But if you look at the proportions, that's one LONG THIN forearm on that rifle - for a levergun. No, I don't have an old Marlin picture to post. ...

Just a thought on the tax.....I don’t know when the tax is actually incurred but I wonder if you waited until January to take possession of that beauty if it wouldn’t go on next years taxes giving you over a year to deal with the tax issue instead of just a few months.

Some years ago at a gun show I bought some pads that I was told were nickel wool. They are the best thing I’ve used to take rust off with minimal effect on the bluing. They are very course but you can use them very aggressively without any scratching. They seem to last as I’m still using the sam...

Those of you that wanted to buy this but couldn’t find a dealer that would accept delivery from an individual, I am sorry. I just don’t have a good way to ship from a dealer at this time.

There should not be any problem with Dennis going down to UPS and shipping the gun to the receiving FFL himself. I have done this with forum members here and elsewhere, they dont even require the receiving FFL's paperwork anymore. Perhaps NE has some laws I don't know about, or some dealers won't r...

SOLD - BROWNING 1886 CARBINE in AS NEW CONDITION - SOLD

Selling one of my Browning 86 carbines. I believe it’s unfired. I bought this one about 12 years ago and I know I never fired it. It is in AS NEW condition....can’t even find any safe marks on it. These Browning 86s are some of the nicest factory built guns ever...IMO. No box. Your dealer must a...
