Re: "100 Years Ago Today", A Great Man Was Born...
Incredible, your dad was 28 days older than my dad, who was born on 30 July 1918 (in Astoria, OR). He died just 2 years ago, he made it to almost 98. He spent his WWII time in the Navy. Was your dad a pilot or perhaps a crew chief ?? I see the sargeant stripes on his sleeve, but I'm unsure if he's o...

Re: We Had A Chance To Honor The Deceased Military
20 years ago I was staying in quarters at the Navy Sub Base in Pearl Harbor. Sunday morning I decided to attend the chapel service in the tiny on-base chapel. What really caught me off-guard: during the service a fellow stood up and mentioned a sub that was lost on patrol during WWII, and he then re...

Already well said above, and I wholeheartedly agree: an ROTC program. That is my background: 4 years of Navy ROTC at a world-class university, then 4 years of payback as a Navy Officer in the fleet. Then out of the Navy and back into college for a second degree, this time mechanical engr'ing with GI...

Ignoring the technical, the clog is gonna happen wherever it feels like happening. Clogs know nothing about pipe diameters and cubic feet and the time of day.
