Another Levergunned Antelope

The Northwest area of Nebraska Territory offers a unique landscape for hunting Pronghorn Antelope. This year, the region is enjoying a bumper crop of Prickly Pear Cactus. I was able to avoid most of them. Way out of rifle range, there's a herd of 2 Dozen goats 700 yards out there....they won't let m...

I used to shoot RCBS 150 grain gas checked bullets out of my 94 at full throttle. I found that the lead became evenly distributed about the bore. You could still clearly see the rifling...the bore though had a smooth gray lead coating along its length. So...while there was obvious scraping taking pl...

From my Grandmother came this story of my Great Grandfather, who homesteaded 80 acres in central Kansas in the late 1880's. The farm prospered as farms go...and one feature of the home there was a mutt named Dollar. Later in life, Grandfather had surgery which required a lengthy recuperation at home...

Issues with Winchester 94 Lever Safety

One of my Winchester's requires a tremendously firm squeeze (near death grip) on the lever in order to enable the trigger. I want to blame this for flyers and larger group sizes at the range.
