I use brake cleaner - OUTDOORS, and never had any problems. Then lubricate with Bullplate.
Bullshop E-mail him for details, address at his website.
Others use hot water and dish soap, then dry real good.

I like recipes that start "Open a can of...," although I do pretty good cooking from scratch. :lol: Sometimes you're just in a hurry, and other times, canned or jarred things are just better than anything you can make yourself.

For a stubborn dovetail sight, front or rear, try some Kroil.
Actually, there are probably plenty of other penetrating oils, but I usually have Kroil on hand.

I can't remember where I read it, but one guy installed a truck toolbox in the floor of a closet, between the studs. Replaced the wood on top that he glued together into a hatch, and carpetted it.
