Re: Loading brass shotshells?

You can mess around with the fragile old shotgun shells, or bite the bullet once and get these machined, solid brass shells that make the whole process easy. These shells have a machined primer pocket to accommodate 209 shotgun primers. I load them on a Mec 600 Jr. press and they are easy to load. I...

That's a wonderful find. You're now the curator of a museum piece. Owen I have several museum pieces already, this will fit in nicely... This is an original 1876 in 45-75 that was sold from W. F. Sheard's store in Livingston, Montana, in the late 1880's. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee202/bri...

Re: Investment firearms - to be shot.

I buy all the collectible guns I can get my hands on. The first rule of thumb is to envision how hard it will be to sell it later, when you find something else better. My recommendation on a Colt SAA in 357 is to pass. If it is something you have wanted all your life, O.K. but a SAA in 357 is almost...

A Real Buffalo Rifle Makes it Back to Montana

I had talked to a friend in Alaska about a similar Sharps he had to a Walter Cooper Sharps I have, that was sent to Montana in the late 1870's and customized here. Jeff's rifle actually lettered to Bozeman, Montana Territory in 1878. After some communication and a few months, Jeff sold me the gun. I...

$12,000.00 is way too much for a reconditioned gun. There is a difference between reconditioned and restored. This isn't restored by a long shot. The wood color is not original, the reblue is over slight pitting on the right side of the receiver and a second year gun would have a color/case receiver...
