I'm surprised no reference using the loads in frame size of Colt SAA revolvers or copies. Also with 2400 extreme spread of 60 FPS doesn't seem like it wold be the long range choice. Marlin lever action stocks on 22's

I like the wood configuration on early Marlin 22's like the model '97. I have a 39 and I'm thinking of having the fat oversize wood sanded down to that of a '97. I've heard of this being done before and was wondering if any here have done or had it done??

Lots of feral hogs in about a dozen states. Most have no hunting season, just shoot on sight. They have about 4 litters per year, and mature to breeding age in a year I think. So I wonder if they will get this disease and what threat to humans is it?

Bleach is corrosive to brass, don't put it on leather. The US Army had a practice of scrapping off the verdigris with their knives. If they didn't they would have trouble extracting from the Springfield 50-70 & 45-70's. They went to web gear and that's the cure.

The usual cause to a chain fire is the fire/spark came from the front. At 46* F Crisco should of stayed put & sealed it, plus you had the felt wad. But if the ball didn't fit tight and shave lead when pressed in then the charge could of shifted in recoil and pushed some Crisco out. Most likely t...

I shoot smokeless in all my old guns. Haves for decades. You just have to use powders/loading techniques that can keep the pressure down to level for whatever firearm/cartridge your using. About the 1895 Winchester, IIRC, it was the only lever action to win Bisley England at 1000 yards. I think it was in the late 1890's a 30-40 (30 U.S), and a US Army Sargent shooting it.
