Sorry, didn't include all the locals. I am pretty lucky as I am trying to make up for working two jobs my whole life. My wife wouldn't live in Alaska so we have a house in Arizona (I wouldn't live in Kalifornia) and I stay in Alaska for several months a year where I was living just after we met. So...

WOW, didn't know they made them in that barrel length. Would have saved my gunsmith time in cutting the barrel from 6 inches to 5 1/2, the 4 3/4 would have been perfect when he put S&W sights in it.

I thought I would share a couple of photos of some local wildlife that have been moving about a lot lately. This is the southern house before I go back to Alaska. I think the closest thing we have to that is the current production Winchesters under the Browning umbrella. But those are made in Japan. Very good quality though if you don't find the tang safety too offensive. For US made, it's pretty much Henry and Marlin by Ruger for lever rifles. I don't see t...

Excellent. I had a game warden friend in the early 80s show me an uncovered dump full of rats. When things quieted down we would go there and shoot until the flashlight went dead. I went through 10,00 rds that year and became a great revolver (S&W Model 17 to match the Model 19 I carried) shot.

The various AR-10 platforms have poor parts interchangeability ... especially in the magazine catch area. I would stick with the platforms that conform to the SR-25 mag style. I don't know why Armalite did the thing with the M1A mags. It seems like there were plenty of original AR-10 waffle mags fl...
