Re: Mossberg 464: Chambering Poll

I would think for market reasons offering a caliber not available from Marlin would give them a market niche. Offering the same calibers as Marlin seems to be a tougher road to go. Unless there is availablility with getting Marlins I don't see them captureing alot of the market. The 30-30 is fine be...

You can get a Glenfield for less than $200. I'm not sure what kind price your vintage Marlin would sell for. There still is a lot of Marlins out there. I would leave your RC just the way it is and pick up a different one for a this project.

Welcome. First off the marlin 1894 and the Puma ( which is the Winchester 1892 design) were designed for pistol cartridges. The Win 1894 was designed for longer rifle cartridges and later changes were made to cycle the shorter cartridge. People who have used the Win will have to chime in if they hav...

I'll be curious what Wisconsin does , since the DNR can't get enough deer shot in this state. The one way is for hunters to donate deer. Yes these are processed by butchers. So if there is lead in the meat it's a butchering issue. The donate deer program helps the DNR keep deer populations in check ...
