It is only foot traffic allowed as I hunt on mostly public land. Some times I use a canoe to get to remote areas but you can't shoot from them unless anchored.

Thanks Mike,, I don't see anything on the BP box that would indicate a date. The smokeless box has an 8 11 on top so is that a date or just something else?

I bought these two boxes at auction today. The full patch smokeless is still factory sealed the black powder box has been opened but is all there. Can anyone date these and give a value?

Several months ago I posted some pictures of this aircraft when I went to Texas to start taking it apart. Finally got back down there and got it apart. It is now sitting in Kansas and waiting to get put back together.

Avoid ethanol in the fuel, it draws moisture and creates acid. Most all manufactures recommend fuel stabilizer. Watch for water in the lower unit as it can freeze and crack the housing.

For those that are worried about wearing their bore with a copper scrub pad I assume you are using some sort of guide with the methods that require so many passes with a cleaning rod. The scrub pad wont wear the bore anymore than the Lewis lead remover.

Get a copper chore boy pot scrubber the chore boy brand it should be copper you can check with a magnet. Wrap a few strands around a bore brush. It will scrub it out.

You can just go ahead and shoot the jacket bullets after the lead assuming your bore is not terribly leaded. Most folks recommend cleaning the copper fouling out before switching back to lead. I don't shoot many jacket bullets anymore unless its something like a 22-250. A good fitted cast gas check ...

Lever Guns Magazine Vol 2 has an article called, Loads for lever gun cartridges. It does list a Speer 100gr JHP 13.5gr H-110 Rem 7 1/2 primer for a MV of 2100FPS and 30,000 CUP. If you ruled out the common things take one of the tight fitting ones and black it up with a magic marker and then try to chamber a few times to transfer the marks to the case.

On the Accurate molds you specify what dia you want instead of just getting what someone thinks you need. I have no experience with full patch bullets in the old original calibers as I've found no reason to use them.

I have two 1923 mfg 94,s. I had a mold cut to my specs it is listed on Accurate molds web site as 32170B IIRC and listed for 32-40 Win. I shoot them about 1800 to 1850 fps. It is a great cartridge for me YMMV.

Think you on the right track. Get a copper chore boy pot scrubbing pad and cut about a 3/8 wide ribbon about three inches long and wrap that around a bronze bore brush. Run it through the bore to remove the lead.

I would size it, at least the neck it it fits. You may have problems with the expanded internal dia and bullets at .380 may be a tight fit.
