having talked to a bunch of guides who recommend big calibers for stuff. They recommend this stuff because a large percentage of their customers can't shoot worth a hoot and they have to make up for lack of practice with sheer power. Tom

I also reform 45-70 brass for my 33wcf and I only use winchester cases. I had to trim them the first time(I am still waiting on lee to send me my custom trimmer and FCD I ordered in August)but I haven't had any problems after that. Tom

Last year I bought my marlin 336 in 35 remmy from a friend and it had 2 boxes of ammo with it. 1 was 200 grain round nose the other pointy bullets, I asked him if he had fired any of these before and he said sure that's the second box....AAAARRRRGGGHH! One other thing to think about with the stevens/savage it is SUPER EASY to change barrels and thus calibers. In the span of 10 minutes I go from a 308 to 22-250 on my one savage.
