Most of mine were taken with a .30-'06 sporterized Springfield or a Winchester 95 SRC also an '06.

Last one was 1895 Marlin 45-70.

Not sure what this year will be.

Maybe it has something to do with the lack of an exposed hammer. One can grab the receiver just about anywhere and get a good grip on it to yank out of a scabbard and get it into action. Just a thought. I got my first 99 about a week ago and have been toting it around the house since. I'm betting it...

Just now gearing up for the annual summer family trip to the cabin in PA next week.

My Dad has been on an extended cruise of the Carribean since he retired four years ago. He's missed a couple birthdays, Christmas and such but he made up for it while he was visiting last month. My former Father in Law couldn't figure out why his .30-'06 was shooting so poorly one day.
Even though the box said .30-06 it was filled with .270 Winchesters.

I mentioned that might be the problem. He didn't talk to me for a couple days! :D

Very nice. I had a US Army Artillery Model once upon a time. It had been beat up and poorly refinished but still worked. I foolishly let it get away from me when someone offered me a pile of cash for it. Wish I still had it. Still waiting for that 7 1/2" 44-40 to come my way! Have fun!! jb 8)

With the exception of one, the USAA adjusters have been great. Just more computer time for us. If I were elligable I'd have USAA too.

I had the same problem with my Winchester Trails End and .452 Bullets.
Barrel slugged out .453+/-. Went to .454 bullets and groups shrank dramatically.

only problem I've ever had is with S&B brass. 7.62x54R consistantly Splits on the second firing.

Very Cool!! Do foreign arms still have to have gov't. proof marks on them? I have my Dad's 1911A1 and a Luger that was probably a war trophy with British Proofs. I know the Colt is a Lend Lease pistol but I have seen commercial arms with European proofs. 94s in .30-30 are just darned Fun!! jb 8)
