I would try 5-6 grs of Unique or 231 under your 180. That should give you something in the 1050-1150 fps range which won't send the closer targets over the top of the berm!

Try some automotive rubbing compound or if they are very light scratches the less aggressive clear coat polishing compound. If that finish is a matt finish both of the compounds above will polish it to a somewhat gloss finish.

Definitely get ejectors, I've broken 3 of them in my .357. They are a crappy design with a weak casting for a spring rod. I'm going to dremel a slot and braze a peice of drill rod in mine when I get around to fixing it this time.

I should have waited to post this morning. Just got back from the range and the new Rossi mount is here. The taper in the mount from one end to the other is exactly .100". Now as Paul Harvey used to say "we know the rest of the story".

I'm sure that's for the carbine and the 801 is round on the bottom so I don't think they have a mount for the octagon barrel. I don't even know if the octagons are D&T'd.

The correct part number for the Model 92 is P892 not P801. The 801 is for the single shots and there is no built in slope to the mount. You may run out of elevation before you get your zero. My 94AE will feed wadcutters BUT they must be loaded long and crimped in the top lube groove so that they are about 1/4" out of the case. If you don't they flip right out of the gun when you work the lever. Loaded long they feed and shoot fine.
