Joe I would use one of the spray cleaners for electronics, safe on plastics. Then use compressed air and the cleaner a couple of times to wash it out. Most expoxies will become thin when heat is applied, but only for a short period of time, then use the compressed air to force the expoxy into the cr...

I posted earlier that I had bought a Marlin 30-30 to use a an elk gun this year. I did not want to use my usual 45-70 or 30-06 because I had a shoulder replacement 4 mo ago. Aside from ammo being hard to find, I was trying to figure out what ammo to use. I have 1/2 box of Leverevolution and 3/4 box...

Barnes has always had a mess with their reloading data, Coated 150 gr 30 cal, X bullet 150 gr 30 cal, TSX 150 gr 30 cal all had different load data. And this is true with all the bullets they made at one time. I think this is what drove them to discontinue the coated bullets. The TSX bullets are lon...

Yes, I stopped using my 30-30 Barnes load due to this, it shot fine but why take a chance? There are other options. Their 30-30 bullet is so long it protrudes well behind the shoulder, doesn't seem right to me. I found I was using Barnes load data with the wrong bullet, the data was with last year'...

Where'd you get the barrel for that...? It doesn't look like a 'stock item' from Thompson Center (nor does the forend).
The barrel is a MGM and the forearm is from:

What weight bullet were they, if the were heavy (over 60gr) you may have had a problem with cramming the bullet into the lands (my 788 in 22-250) had a very short throat, I reamed it out so 68gr bullets would work without seating them so deep.
