Re: I’m all for good ignition……but

My 1st generation 45 did this same thing. Hammer fall was crazy hard. Very stiff spring. I had heard about the leather trick, but suspected what Griff said would happen. Instead, I ground a washer to fit inside the frame without overhanging and hitting the grips. It helped, but wasn't enough IMO. Af...

Raining here and about the same temp as you Gunny. Gave the old Harley a bath yesterday and took a quick 100 mile ride. It was a little cool but nice riding. Very few bugs this time of year. The Knuckles? What can be wrong with those? You have to cut them off the axle and weld new ones on if you have a solid axle front end.
Unless you mean the u-joints?

Back to the one line address. Two 5 1/2”s and a 4 3/4” 3rd Gens of 79 manufacture all have the one line address all done the same way same place. So I suspect that is the way they did them all that year. But, caveat, I have no way of knowing if the 4 3/4” was cut down. I think it's because they are...

Standard length for a 94 rifle is 26". If it was 28, give them the money. That is a very rare length. Not often did someone pay and wait for a special order for 2" of barrel. I got a 73 in 32-20 once with a 26 inch barrel and set trigger. Standard is 24 inch and they missed it. Wasn't much...
