Glad you got this sorted, Nath. I had no idea leaving a suppressor on had anything to do with barrel/muzzle condition. I picked up a cz 527 in 222 a couple of weeks ago complete with suppressor but could I get it to shoot, no! I bought with the barrel off the stock by a good amount but then noticed there was no pillar post for the forward screw so made one. IMG_20230926_204540.jpg Then I noticed a witness mark on th...

I broke an RWS spring! I made a solid pellet mold, weighed about 20 gr in .177. I called RWS to get a replacement, they told me to send the gun back for a warranty replacement. I told them I would replace it myself. Boy what a mistake that was! Those springs are half again as long as the receiver ,...

Good shooting Nath I bet that 4f gives it a bit more wallop .. :D It's got whallop John. It's not much different than a breech loader when leading birds on the wing. Two years ago I took one at 50yds and initially thought it was pure luck but no, when I dressed the bird it had multiple pellets in it!

Took a muzzloader out for a change. IMG_20230909_160220.jpg The 50gns of 4f was enough to give good power to 1oz of shot #7.5 size. 81 with a 410!
Gave the 410 a work out this afternoon. 110 shots for 81 birds. About 50 crows and 30 pigeon. Even got a few triple birds down from this restricted three shot Mossberg.. I had heck of a good time but 410 ammo is costly, well all ammo is costly now but I reckon this afternoon cost me 50Β£! Oh well.......

Is the pin there to assist with lowering the carrier when the lever is closed? I noticed that my 357 AE 94 has an added sheet metal piece on the lever but I am not sure what it does. Re: Winchester 9410 shutgun
If it's just a roll pin some good pliers should pull it out but you may want to measure it first in case it gets mangled and needs replacing. It could just be a means to keep the shell lifter and lever all together for assembly purposes. Personally I would not fix what isn't broken! I have but wish ...

It's probably just for cartridge control. I think I see the magnetic block on the carrier that the cartridge head sticks to. The tiny pin probably cams the case up to present it to the chamber, overcoming the magnet.
