200 gr wfngc
Ive been eyeballing the Cast Performance 200 grain WFN-GC for 357 mag. My google-fu has come up blank on load data though. I did find some fellas using a different 200gr projectile seated in 38spl brass (so it would feed in a levergun) with 12-14 grains of H110. Have any of ya'll tried these project...

45 Colt Ruger loads?
I read Paco's article on "full house" 45 colt loadings for rifles. Are those comparable to the Ruger/TC loads or more powerful? I noticed most of the Ruger/TC loads are in the 28,000# pressure range.

I had a similar "mirror" incident when I was younger. I was obsessed with fast draw and got pretty good. I made the mistake of not checking my Vaquero (apparently my dad had used it earlier in the day). I made my draw and man those youthful reflexes were smoking until I heard "BOOM&qu...

What an incredible statement by CS Lewis in The Great Divorce.
There are only two kinds of people in the end.
Those who say to GOD "THY will be done".
And those to whom GOD says "Thy will be done".
The Implications are scary!!!

Bore slugging question
So, I went to slug the bore of my Winchester 1892 in 45 colt. I was using the Hornady 50 cal (.490) lead balls. However, once I got the ball started past the muzzle the ball essentially pushed down the barrel with almost no resistance. Ive never had that happen before and am a little perplexed. Thou...

I had similar conversations with a lot of horse owners during my farrier career. Quite a lot of the time having a veterinarian come out does nothing but make the last few minutes terrifying for the animal, when a simple pop behind the ear sends them on without all the fuss.

Keep in mind this is just boredom at work (Idle hands and all). Its my understanding that the toggle linkage of the 73 is the so called "weak point" in the rifle. If that is correct, could one (not me as I dont have the skills) make new linkage from titanium to make it more robust? I mean,...
