Re: song dogs

At least that is one law we don't have in Britain, as long as the bullet/shot stays on private property it's legal to shoot vermin within city limits on property that you have permission to shoot on. Of course noise and disturbing the peace can get you in trouble, hence we don't have problems buying...

Hey Nath, I almost feel sorry for any fox that lives near you... :D

I used to reverse airgun pellets when I was a kid to see if they hit any harder, I couldn't say if it worked or not but I see your reasoning with the .357 bullets.

Sorry I can't help with a spare main spring, have you tried Dixie Gun Works? here in the UK most Gunsmiths could make a replacement. A custom gun maker in the US should be able to help, might be pricey though.

Hunting and shooting sports are ofttimes handed down to us by our father and grandfathers, many times a left-over or tradition of skills and woodcraft borne of necessity from a time gone by. Good project, 8) I currently have a 16GA Savage/Stevens 94 and a Cooey .410. and I prefer hunting with them than my other guns. When I was a full time gamekeeper I cut down a Winchester/Cooey 20GA for use from my Land Rover, I cut the barrel to 24" (uk legal) and I took an inch off the stock. I...

After seeing QCI Winchesters post on Carbines sent to Britain in 1941, I remember being told that Westley Richards refurbished about 250,000 Garands and M1 Carbines after the war. I cannot confirm that but I did find brand new M1 carbine stocks when I worked there. http://levergunscommunity.com/view...
