I've recently installed two Ramline stocks ... one on a Sears/Winchester and one on my Rossi .357. They are still hollow and need to be filled with some sort of insulation material. The one that went on the Sears/Winny 94 fit right on. The ones for the Marlin should fit with minimal or no work.

That happened to me about 20 years ago. The two guys had a 308 and a 30-06. I had my .45 flinter I shot competative with. Range was 100 yards. Results were same as yours.

You could get a set of inside the neck brushes and use mica (?) instead of a lube.

Check in a catalog like Midway or whatever is available. The brushes and the tray they are mounted in are great to use and help sizing greatly.

I had an H&R a few years ago in Hornet and had it reamed out to K-Hornet. The accuracy inproved and it was a hoot to use. I also had a 223 model and it was also accurate.

I've had a 222 and a 222mag that were also very accurate.

I went along with a buddy to a shop I had never visited and found an interesting .38-55. It is a conversion done on an older 336. The action is smooth and the barrel appears to be 26 inches with the contour similar to a featherweight Model 70 Winchester. It looks like it has been around for a while ...

The guys at the importer said the wood varies quite a bit. In about three or four weeks I'll get to check them out.
That is not the fanciest wood I've ever seen but it beats the heck out of the wood on my Marlin and my Winchester.

At one time a conversion block was available that replaced the rf one and made the rifle a centerfire for the .32's. The last time I saw anything about one had to be 35 or so years ago.

It's not a lever gun but it does have a lever. It is a Savage 24 and it is chambered in 20 gauge and .30-30!!!!!!!
That is a combination that trips my trigger big time. I almost have the $$ for the Little Sharps and this appears ... it's not right. Why was I born good looking and not rich. :lol:

A pretty good friend has a PAIR of the $$$$$$$$ kind. He had the standard ones that are similar to the hunting type for years. The pricy ones are digital and are set to the specific pitch range the person needs. It doesn't just make all things louder. It still seems like they are too expensive though.

The stock and forearm are :shock: plastic :shock:

I shortened the forearm back to almost the band step and installed a Marlin tip. I feel the shorter length looks better with the short barrel since the bands are removed and the magazine is shortened.

I just got off the phone and you beat me to it Reb. The more I thought about it the more wrong I knew my manufacturer was.

As of three weeks ago Harrisburg only had .45 Colt and .38-55's.

Try lightly oiling it. Sometimes, for whatever reason, be it a speck of rust or no lubrication we have found this hapening. A light oiling and work it to get the oil inside.
