Re: seasons greetings

In church last Sunday the Pastor was talkin' 'bout wishing Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays, and he said something I liked. When someone wishes you Happy Holidays just thank them saying holiday is just another spelling of Holyday! And, yes CHRISTmas is a Holy day! This is out first Christmas in Or...

I too agre that the Henry is an excellent choice. But, if you consider a semi auto the Marlin Mod. 60 is a very good gun. It has a huge following similar to the 10/22 crowd (not quite as many accessories though). Check out rimfire Central.

Re: Ot- Question for you home gunsmith types

I would say the pipe cutter (c-clamp type) will roll a large burr on the inside of the barrel. Also with a tapered barrel the pipe cutter may want to wander towards the small side. I like the hose clamp and hack saw idea (use at least 32 teeth per inch blades).

Good set-up. If you put a dab of case lube on one out of every 5 or 6 cases, even with carbide dies, sizing/decapping goes a lot easier. I've been using Mink Oil Boot Dressing for my bottle necked cases and it's always around so I just put a little dab on a case once in a while when I'm reloading my...

I think it's the Snap-On vs. MAC, vs. Craftsman kinda thing. If you never drank any wine would you start out with the Rothschilds $200.00 per bottle or some $8.00 Cal. Napa wine? If you think you can tell the differance, go with the Redding dies.

Although I don't stroll around the woods much, I'd have at least my 4" .357 loaded with 160 gr. FNRP over a bunch of WC820. Or if I was to pack on my hip, my Ruger SBH .44 Mag. stuffed with 265 gr. Ranchdog slugs on top of a medium load of WC820.
