Brookings Or.
Hey Oregonians,
Going to Brookings for a couple days next month, I'll be checking it out for retirement. Won't have any guns with me but I'll need to check out the shooting in the area (ranges, shooting spots, gun shops, firearms friendly , etc.). Anybody have info?
Thnx

Do you know your rifle's bore size? Slugging the barrel is necessary to shooting accurate lead boolits. My only .44 long gun is a Puma, and it wouldn't shoot well until I sized my boolits to match the bore. That is IF yer shootin' lead!

Working in Hawthorne is probably OK, but I wouldn't live there again. High crime, high minority population (87%), high unemployment, high cost of living (compared to other areas of US). What would it hurt to box them up and stow them away? 2,00 bullets and 500 cases couldn't take up too much room. Keep 'em. .44 is a great caliber, and one might come back your way.

I cast boolits for two calibers; 44 and 357. I don't own a lubersizer and don't plan to get one. I only lube up 100 - 200 at a time so I pan lube and/or tumble load with liquid alox.
