I load 45-70 with the Lee handpress...it is easier than 9mm!

However, looking at the video, you mean the Lee loader...not the handpress. Sorry...no experience there.

Was just at a friends house this weekend and they have voles. They use these posts that stick into the ground with a small solar cell on top that powers an audible sound. The sound (I guess, or some other electronic means) sets up a perimeter that the voles won't cross...at least that's the theory.

Any gun transaction out of state has to go through an FFL. If your transaction is in state, for rifles you do not have to go through an FFL and can ship directly to the person. (Sections B2 page 176 and B7 page 177 of the NFA) Would seem to me that the originator of a classified ad can always change...

Welcome. I actually find that my .44 Trapper seems to kick less than my .30-30. If you really want to tame the beast, load .44mag cases to .44 spl levels. Almost as easy shooting as .38's in a levergun.

FWIW, I've used set-screw type offset hammer spurs for many years, w/o one loosening even a bit - until I did it myself for removal. If you're going to be taking the rifle completely apart - removing the hammer, etc - very often, then I suppose the threads could wear (the offset spurs are aluminum)...

I've seen the Uncle Mike's that add on with a set screw. I've also read concerns about that set up holding, even with locktite on the screw.

Still, it's probably a better choice than me attempting to drill/tap and buggering up the hammer.
