Re: Model 1886 in 40-65
Glad to see someone else is a 40-65 fan besides me. Mine is in an original 40-75-260 Bullard ( I say original ,there are no replicas ) in wonderful condition. This Bullard round is the Winchester 40-65 with a slower twist for a lighter 260 gr bullet. Also my bore is .411-.412 so if not using my cust...

Kimberly Custom CDP in a Milt Sparks IWB behind my right hip. Spare mag same on opposite side. I believe in the "gray man" concept so it's always loose, plain clothes, back in the corner facing the door. In certain situations it is a Charter Arms 44 Special snub carried the same.

Been using it for over 40 years as a sizing lube as one would use Imperial Sizing Die Wax. I still have the 4 ounce, screwtop jar (still half full) I bought for $1 in the Sav-Mor Drug store in Mountain Home, Idaho in 1976. After thousands and thousands and thousands of uses the jar is still half ful...

My 500 did the same thing years ago, I retired it and went digital. I tried to diagnose the issue and realized that the lock screw for the beam wheel went missing! I had a similar problem with my Lyman Oahus years ago. The pan was made of 2 pieces held together by the same screw that secured the wire it hangs by. Re: Which BLACK POWDER cartridge for deer???
Being a large bore guy I would start consideration at the 38-55 with the 40-65 closer to ideal. But that's just me. Having used the 38-55 just once some 35-40 years ago with success I can tell you from experience the 40-65 (with a good LBT WFN cast bullet) is an impressive hammer without the recoil ...

Need Leupold scope help
Bought used Leupold Var-x 3 3X10 (not CDS). On the back of the power ring is a scale of yards/meters that I assume is a range estimation aid. I am also assuming a correlation between reticle spacing, power and range. How far off am I? Any help would be appreciated. Computer search (including Leupold)...

I think I have it licked. I first put flat paving blocks all around the foundation. The rabbit started digging under the blocks! I then threw some mothballs in the entrance holes (covered by the blocks) front and back and so far so good. Three days now and no holes. Interestingly enough the inside o...

I have one, maybe a couple rabbits burrowing under my back yard 12x12 shed. I am concerned they will weaken or disturb the 2x4 (sitting on blocks) foundation. As soon as possible I will put expanded wire screen around it but would first like to get them out. Would Mothballs deter them? I live in a s...

Phone scam? question
The wife keeps getting calls from number +91 80 3350 3000
We don't answer.
I can find no reference to it on the internet.
I suspect a scam.
I can also find no reference to what the + sign has to do with the number.
91 is area (code?) for India.
