Why would you pay $1500 for that when for the same money you could buy a .460 or .500? They both do anything a .350 does and do it better.

I just bought a Turnbull Manufactured 1886 in 50-110. Probably less expensive than buying a gun and having it converted. Plus, I got to spec it out... 32 inch barrel, shotgun butt and case finish.

I wonder if the "new" Pythons will drive the price of old Pythons into the realm of affordability. It seems like the price of the new ones are quite high for a revolver ... but still not near where the old ones were hovering a few years back. I need to go take a look on the auction sites....

It depends on which guns I am shooting. For guns I am hunting with and shooting smokeless, generally, as needed. For the guns I cowboy shoot with and use black powder. I clean them within hours after use.

I didn't realize the 50 Alaskan was a .510 bullet. Or that they were using BMG bullets cut down. Ill have to do a little research on it out of curiosity. That's one reason I like the 500 Smith & Wesson (0.500") as a levergun cartridge, in addition to the slightly shorter case maybe making ...

He fumbled some stuff but otherwise, interesting. We were just referring to the .450 Marlin in the '94 in another thread. It's impressive to run that in a rifle like the 1894 with the middling sized receiver. My 71 in .450 Alaskan outruns his Turnbull 50 a bit but my barrel is 20" and is full ...

I'm thinking that's got to be the most powerful round chambered in the 94 action. Did the .450 Marlin ever make it onto the 94 platform? Yes, I had a packer (18 1/2 bbl) 444 with porting and a 450 the same set up. There were very few of both made (less than 2000). When I got offered crazy money for...
