After a little experimentation, I now only use magnum primers with H110. My results with non-magnum primers were the same as yours. Vita Vuori N110 is a good powder for several loads in my experience. Accuracy has been good for all loads I have tried it with. I like stick powder for moderate loads ...

I have used N110 with satisfactory results. Being a stick powder, it has different properties from H110. It works pretty good in moderate level loads, whereas I get best results with H110 only in the upper end of the power level. Must admit I am far more used to stick powders than ball. I struggled...

Thanks very much. I think Lil' gun isn't so far from N110 in terms of burn rate. One is certainly aware the rifle has gone off with this load but should work well.

I have been using Unqiue in 44 magnum and have struggled to get a conistent volume throw.

I hear Universal is much more consistent so tempted to give it a try.

Viht powders are quality stuff when you can find it. Who cloned your '92? See no reason why a 240 grain shouldn't work in about anything in 44 mag. Its the staple bullet weight for that cartridge. Those 41 Magnums are cool stuff too, big brother to my 10mm which I have always wanted in a levergun, ...

if it's like the white box 240Gr commercial load, it shoots well out of the Marlin 44 Mag carbine. In my son's edition, it is the heaviest load that is reliably accurate out of the slow twist barrel. It is a hammer on deer and has made lots of meat for our family. Luckily my barrel is a 1:20 twist ...

Have used VVN110 in .44 Mag a couple of times. Accuracy is good in a long barrelled Super Blackhawk. It does good out of a semi-auto .44 Mag carbine. Not really any change in point of impact or group size versus using H110. Thanks Piller. N110 is easier and cheaper to get here. Also a bit more flex...

I use the 210s in my Henry 41 mag. Accurate but I haven't had a chance to get actual field use. I also tried the Speer 210 and the XTP. I was thinking of loading some 240 gr Nosler JSP over Viht N110 for a hunting load out of a 44 mag 1892 clone.

Does anyone have any experience of this combo in a lever action?

So, I used to live in Switzerland and shot a few drillings. My very limited advice would be: 1) 12g x 12g tends to be rather heavy and unwieldy 2) 16g x 16g is quite useful and not too difficult to feed 3) Get a rimmed rifle cartridge 7x57r, 7x65r, 8x57r are all good options. I have just recently dissassembled and reassembled a Browning Auto 5 for cerakoting the barrel and receiver. Speaking personally, I still find JMB's design inspirational.*

Its a great loading, both the deer i used it one dropped within 20 feet and the one my son shot dropped in its tracks.....granted it was a head shot. Good to know. We have a law here that for the larger species of deer you have to have a Muzzle Energy of 1,700 ftlbs so in a .44 lever action you ten...

It's a 2.5x28 Leupold Scout Scope with mounted on the Scout Rail that comes with the rifle and using Hawke Low QD rings.
