Re: We've talked about shooting stray dogs before...
I think there is ALOT more to this story, the Neighbour who did the shooting surley seems to have had "enough". "The Pittkins loaded the dog's carcass on their pick up truck and went to ask Christopher Harris if he knew what happened. "I told him we had a dead dog in the back of o...

I have a CL 32-20 I found NIB a few years ago made in '89. it is a fine rifle and top loads with a 115gr hard cast @1700fps or 100gr XTP's at 2000fps are pretty wicked and very accurate.the 32-20 is one fine round and is easy to load down also.Welcome aboard. .

Was they other guy shooting factory or reloads? How fast were they going? How far was the deer when He shot? every bullet design has working limits. if that bullet is made for best expansion in a deer at 11-1600fps impact speed, and He shot the deer 25yds away with a MV of 1900fps then that hollowpo...

I would take some better pic's of it and put it on the classifieds as a project gun. You may be able to get a decent buck out of it as it looks very nice from what I can see now. that bugger would be off for a trip and come back a 38-55 ..........................http://35caliber.com/

Ed, I had a Uberti '73 sporting Rifle in .45 colt. It was absolutly flawless. I duplacted the original 44-40 loads with a 200gr bullet at 1300fps. I sold it while it was as new.if I were to get another it would be in 38-40,44-40,or .357. Myself haveing great respect for the Quality of Uberti Firearm...

Well..... nice buck, congrats. sure must have been handy haveing a luggage handle on that rifle,as it was alot to tote with dragging that deer an all. My advise for both revolver an longgun was Elmer Kieths load for the Colt of 18.5gr of 2400. but You allready have a winner.
