You probably think Earl must have a very sophisticated formula for coming up with this "ladder" of loads with all those decimal pointed loads. Well there may be a bunch of decimal points in the powder grains, but there were only nice big fat even numbers on the Redding powder measure I use...

Just out of curiosity... I did a "Gunbroker" search, "Winchester 92" under "Lever Action Rifles" and came up with 18 actual m92 Winchester rifles. Some of those are newer manufactured ones but most are oldies. Looks like you gotta' be ready to pony up some serious bucks...

My medicare supplement picks up the first $2500 on hearing stuff, which is enough to get Costco's top of the line ones. I use them when I am going to be around a group of people; still reasonably OK in a one-on-one situation (if the other guy will speak up a little!).

My worry is that 1600 fps is not a modest velocity with a non-gas checked bullet. How would the ballistics look at 1400 to 1500 fps? That's about max I expect of my plain-based bullets with accuracy.
