Everything I see says the case head is thinner in the 38-55 and 30-30. I also want to hot rod this one a bit, I got some 350wfn's and reloader 7 for 1500fps. I also have two original 38-55 and do not want to use 38-55 cases for fear they might go in an original and that would not be good. Rumor is W...

As to the no rifling you will be amazed how much rifling magically appears after you soak the bore and run a chore boy wrapped patch through that barrel. As to value I would be comfortable in the 500 range as long as the mechanical seem ok. Also Rube is right no saddle ring. Good luck remember this ...

I went to Colorado for the third rifle season with a bull tag, a cow tag, and a Mulie tag in my wallet. Well the elk thing did not turn out as well as we had hoped. One member of the party got a cow, and one member got a 6x6 on opening day and that was the last sighting of elk for the week. The mule...

For work reasons I am not able to carry my usual "everyday carry gun" everyday. I am thinking about a derringer in 22 mag but only experience I have with derringers is an old davis my uncle had, that was not reliable, and an FIE single shot I had back in the 90's in 45 colt, and that is no...

I do have one of the Pearson mounts. I had a small issue with it at first as the model 1892 I have had a different space to the rear sight slot.
