OW my "HE shed" is multi functional. I cast in it but load in the basement. The shed also serves as the storage for the lawn mower, hunting gear, ammo cans that MAY have a round or two in them, a spare Cleveland block, my fishing stuff, some lead storage but not nearly all, ect. But it is ...

Big Bear I have some correctly headstamped 33 cases but most of mine were made from 45-70 brass. I did not buy a set of forming dies though. I had a set of 38-56 (NOT 38-55) dies and first ran the 45-70 cases into the 38-56 dies then into the 33 dies, and it has worked well for me. I realize that pe...

Re: 45-70 Hunting Ammo
I have had a couple experiences with a 45-70 on black bear. My normal walking around deer load for a Marlin is either a Hornady 300 gr JHP, or a subsonic 500 grain cast, when the can is being used. In the first case I was shooting at a largish (for Maine) black bear at 25 yards. I was using (for the...

Big bear, Jack turned me on to 5744 several years ago and in my opinion... you will have a hard time finding a better cast powder. I still use Unique but I find a decent load every time I experiment with 5744. My current project is a 520 grain cast HP in a 50-110 with it. Good luck with your experim...

I like that brand and have had very good luck with them. You can charge them in the house, or the vehicle when you are just driving around. They have several levels of capacity but I went with the heavy duty because of the diesel and it was still under $200.
