Re: The Raising of a Gun Nut - written by our Webmaster 20 years ago ...
We forget about the measures some people must go to so they can provide protein for their families. I knew a missionary who served in the same area Paul did. He and his wife built a houseboat and traveled up and down the river there for something like 20 years as a service to the people there. He ha...

MacDill AFB is only about 6 or 7 miles from the stadium so I would think anything needed could be based from there if needed.

Who knows about drones?
I was watching the noon news here from Tampa where the main topic of conversation was the upcoming Superbowl. One of the things they were talking about was the air ban they were putting up over the area. They were very specific about the use of drones. For the next week there are to be no drones wit...

I love my 28-2, it's strong steady will take a lickin and keep on tickin. I think there's something special about the geometry of the N frame that makes the action extra smooth. Jim, I think we're all moving slower these days and that's not such a bad thing. Since my run in with this covid thing I'm limited to how far I can go by this tether as they have me on O2. I'm recovering but it's slow. Please don't let Paco get this ugly thing.

I had a friend in my muzzleloading club years ago that went out west to an indian reservation for a guided hunt. When he got there they wouldn't let him hunt with his muzzleloader. He ended up having to borrow a .270 Winchester from the guide. He dropped the buff in it's tracks.

I think if you're walking in the woods with a handgun and a long gun the point is to have a long gun that can reach out as well as a handgun for up and close. I'm not sure the two interchange even though the calibers do. I'd rather carry a rifle caliber and take full advantage.

My favorite is my Marlin M39. It wears a Skinner on the rear. Nothing more fun that sitting out on the front porch plinking around with it in the late afternoon. With standard velocity shorts it's so quiet you can hear the hammer fall.
