I would think that it would be a bit difficult to get the bluing to look exactly right on the area where the TIG filler is exposed. I suppose you could come close by selecting the right filler rod. Perhaps as long as it wasn't polished to a high luster it would be more difficult to tell.

About 15 years ago I ran into one when I had to create a login on the domain for a telecenter employee. It was pronounced Shi'Thead by her but it was obviously spelled without the apostrophe. Must have been trying to have parents as stupid and irresponsible as to punish a kid with that name.

Ah, so it's a bit of a re-do specifically for the Marlin guns ... in order to accommodate their 2.55 Cartridge OAL. I suppose it makes sense in that the Marlins are a lot easier to come by than say a 71 or an 1886. At least they are more plentiful and affordable. Don't feel like having your 86 or 71...

Well, I've made some progress. I bought the Forester outside neck turning tool and shaved 0.0015" off of the necks of 10 pieces of brass. I then loaded up 64gr of 3031 and the 350gr Speer JFP (item #2478). The loaded cartridges now have necks at 0.0485" and chamber perfectly easily. Averag...
