Homefront, I think of you and the loss of your son often. Many times I sit eating or talking with my only child, my 18 year old son, and i recall when he was small and thank God for him, and for every day i have had with him. I cannot imagine your loss, but i do remember you often and i do pray for ...

i have a burgess 1878 45/70, the first commercially produced 45/70 lever gun; it has the serpentine finger lever and works quite well, though not quite as smooth as the 1881 marlin that followed it. [the top dust cover is a bit flimsy...too thin and almost binds when you work the lever]; i have a wh...

Big bear, don't beleive that stuff that handguns are useless against grizzlies. i know lots of individuals personaly who can tell you different from first hand experience. a rifle is better, but not if you are attacked instantly and are down and cant use the rifle. and a rifle is no good if its lean...

seriously!
you need an attorney and a private investigator! if the name he used is false, then he may even still be married to someone else and the marriage might not even be legal; and maybe there are even warrants out against him, in his real name. even using a false name may be a basis to anull the marriage...

38/55
my 94 was made in 1895 and the bore is just between 379 and 380; shoots 379 lead fine, but shoots the 'barnes original old style' .377 soft jacket very, very well. those bullets expand well on game but also drop big caribou easily.

wk
i have usedd mine so far only with smokeless loads that are bp equivalent. mine has a mirror bore and is like new mechanically so i bet it would shoot even better with really soft lead bullets and bp or hodgson 777. i am going to try it.

probably pretty well; i have one quite similar but nicer and it shoots quite well. the serpentine lever is easier to use than it looks.

charles daly mini-sharps
daly is starting to import a scaled down sharps in rimfire and some pistol calibers [and in 38/55]; cant find the pictures but that would be a really neat choice for this purpose, perhaps?
