Re: Round Counts

Nope, I keep records of my reloads but that's so I know what loads I've found that shoot the best out of a particular gun. Once the load is settled I don't bother keeping records so strictly but it gives me something to go back and compare to if accuracy falls of someday (hasn't happened to me yet)....

A Ruger #1 I stumbled upon in a gunstore on consignment. $650 out the door, it had already been Mag-Na-Ported and had a Pachmeyr Decelerator pad professionally installed and came with a nice Leupold already mounted. I second what CRS said above. I have three Miroku 1895's, nothing else comes close. Is there a difference between the Miroku and the USRAC 1895s? My USRAC JapChester 1895 in 405 is pretty stiff, but then again I haven't shot it much...50 rounds? It's a beast. As far as I know Miroku has made all th...

I always preferred the shorter carbine and trapper length barrels. I live out in the desert so there isn't really any place where brush is going to be in my way with a longer barrel and with irons the longer barrels give me a longer sight radius, I just prefer the look of the shorter barrels.

4895 wasn't that impressive out of my .30-40, I mean it was a great low recoil round but it didn't group well. The upper end of 4064 shrunk those groups but still I think it could do better.
