I would think the starter bendix or a tooth on the flywheel broke. Con Rods are pretty tough. Hope its just the bendix, that would be the easiest fix. Just check for pieces in the flywheel/clutch area.

thought greatly about a re-bore or reline on the rifle. Went back and measured, its a 24" barrel, but does have a capped pistol grip. They were kind of busy and the gun is in a room of unusual guns and mounted near the ceiling, on the wall, so no decent pics

What caught my eye of the '92 is that it has a pistol grip and curved lever. Also, didn't have my tape measure, but I think it also had a 26" barrel. Was the pistol grip a common option? Think its the first I have seen. Receiver has little finish and is quite pitted Bad news was the bore isn't ...

Was at the Cabelas in the Northern part of Denver and found an old Marlin bolt action tube fed 22. In pretty good shape. Took it into the Gun Library to askefor a bore light. Local gun show has an 1886 in 38-56 in sad shape. Bore is worthless, like a sewer pipe, buttstock has been cut-off (or broken) and a 3" long piece spliced in. Forearm also is broken. Action rusty inside, but appears mechanically very good. Barrel is heavy, about as big or a bit bigger in diamet...

Use to load for it long ago. If you trade it off, take the scope off as most places won't pay more if it has a scope on it or not. Check out gunbroker, I think the 17rem 700bdl is worth a bit. If you want an AR15, you should be able to trade even, though the scope has been removed. That ammo is wort...

Almost bought one in 38-56, but boy, talk about a sewer pipe for a bore, it was hard to see any rifling. Had a pretty heavy round barrel on it. then I noticed the buttstock had been repaired with about a 3" spacer. Buttstock must have been damaged so someone cut off the broken part and took the...

Nope, not considered a machine gun. Now, if you put an electric motor on it, it would be, just like a mini-gun. Kind of out of the loop on what 92's are going for. LGS has one OBFM in 38-40. Decent bit of blue on the barrel, not so much on the receiver and wood is OK. Action seems tight on lockup and bore is very good.
Just wondering what they are going for nowadays.

You can use 32-20 brass, but I believe you have to shorten it just a bit. Then load like a 32-20. Solves any headspace issues. I then resize in a 32-20 die just enough to hold a bullet and enter the chamber.
