What brand is that lever automatic that you got when searching John Wayne's knife? Its a beauty. It was made by AKC. European red stag handles. I really like it. I bought it online from "3Knives", which is now "The Knife Shop". https://www.knifeshop.com/en/home.html Unfortunatel...

Re: Thoughts on pocket knives: Never leave the house (actually bedroom) without one. You never have to hunt for a knife if it's with you all the time. If a knife is needed, even a poor excuse for one is better than not having one. Someone asks me if I have a knife I reply...... "Do I have my p...

Re: Thoughts on pocket knives.
Well, my favorite knives are large bowies, though I admit they are not practical for EDC where I live. Scott, like you, when I was growing up and all through school, including college, I always had a pocket knife on me. I had several teachers in elementary, middle and high school ask to borr...

I'm a Case XX pocket knife collector and user. Case is what my Grandfather carried. I carry one every day. Usually a 63032 Stockman. That said, I have maybe 10 Buck 110 knives that I have bought over the years.

I am trying to find out if the Rossi 1892 can handle some of the hotter Ruger Only 45 Colt Loads? I have been looking around on the internet to find the safe pressures for the Rossi 92s but having been able to find much on the actual capable pressure limits.

Not sure if you mean New Model Super Blackhawk or just a newer one.
Mine was made in 1997 but it is a New Model Bisley. I very much like it. Just shot it for the first time yesterday.

Re: Blued Revolvers & Holster Wear
I gave up on worrying about the blueing long ago. Some seem to be able to carry them without much blue wear, I dont seem able to. Holsters are like many other things in that there need not be any specfice reason to have one rough side out. You'll find people who do them for looks. Some will do it because you get a lined holster without having to use extras leather. Some will copy movies.

For the cartridges we talk about on the board, about 98% of them can be hand loaded with cast bullets at or near the speed the factory makes them at. It’s not rocket science to cast or to hand load……I can load a box of 35 Remingtons for about .15 a round from components bought at pre crazy prices. ...

I had a very nice Marlin in 35 Remington. I ended up trading it for a 30-30 just on account of ammo prices alone. At that time 30-30 was 15/box and 35 Rem was about 28/box. Now I have a pretty nice Remington Model 8 that shoots 35 Remington. I love the gun. Now 35 Remington is about 50/box on the lo...
