Re: Freund Sharps repair
I've had my Shiloh Sharps since 1987 and have only taken it apart once to clean out the breech block after firing many thousands of BP rounds... that has to be at least 10 or so years ago. It wasn't really to fix a problem... just thought it might be nice to do. Glad to hear you've got yours sorted...

I'm not worried. That's why I collect single shot rifles. Tough to conceal, and too slow for gang bangers.

Re: Anyone else wish they had bought a dozen 336's when they were $200 at Wallyworld?
When I look back on how many nice used 336's I bought for $100-$150, and how many Model 39's I bought for the same money! If I'd have just kept them all and sold them today it would make a nice bonus to retirement! I don't even see them at our monthly gun shows anymore, and I used to see multiples o...

Thanks!
Along with my single shot rifles, I have an addiction to old scopes also. Nice old scopes or very rare old scopes just are amazing to me. Normally a Lyman is a great scope but not all that rare. But this one does it for me just because it's so old, and so nice with it's box.

We had our monthly OAC collector show yesterday, and I heard a friend who has a table behind me ask another friend if he was interested in an old target scope. First thing you need to do is slug the bore on your Marlin 375! Without knowing the groove diameter it's impossible to know if the factory bullets fit well. After slugging the bore, pull a bullet and mic it to see how close it is. Then reassemble the cartridge without powder and seat the bullet out ...

Figured I'd follow up to my previous post about coyotes taking a young buck recently. There are machinist tables around that list every screw by diameter and thread size and will work. But why waste the energy and time?

Those are great looking, high quality 1911 style handguns! And nice to have both barrel lengths also.
All mine are full length barrels, which I love, but not the best size for a carry gun all year around. I find myself going to a compact 9mm in the hot weather as a T shirt covers them easier.
