In my opinion the Cobra looks much cleaner than the Apache. Yes, hold off on sending them as I think they would be too long, and sounds like the 355 grain would be too. I remembered I do have a bunch of 310 grain to play with I got from 86er back in Texas, will play with these using H-110. Thanks again for the generous offer though. :wink:

I think the 9422 is the only levergun dba Winchester/USRA didn't mess up trying to fix something that wasn't broken.

I always choose USPS Priority Mail. UPS to Hawai'i is not only the most expensive way to ship but they are notorious for losing packages especially firearms either leaving them in plain sight on front porch if not home or leaving them at a neighbor's house. :roll:

On my conversion I removed the tang safety completely, and inserted a flush fitting filler I made from a piece of antler and scribed my (kanji) initials into it, didn't look half bad. :wink: A piece of silver would look pretty decent too. I'm guessing it's a polyester resin. The best way I know of to get off is using a random orbit sander and start grinding making sure to wear a decent respirator. Start rough 36 grit and work the surface with finer grit afterwards. I would finish with Tru-oil or boiled linseed letting each coat penet...
