SC just joined the Constitutional Carry Club!
Last year we passed an open carry law. Today our Governor just signed a Constitutional Carry law, making us the 29th state to do so (I think #28 was the day before!). Good news in and of itself. But included were harsher penalties for the use of guns in crimes. Very smart; punish crime not our right...

Re: Went to a gun show today
I remember when I lived in MI there was an annual show in our town that was great. Then I moved down south and there was a show just as good - every other month! It was fantastic, at first. Best place to buy primers, powder and lead - no hazmat charges, no heavy shipping charges, and stellar pricing...

Scott, when you submitted electronically, did you go through a kiosk like the Silencer Shop ones?

BTW, I did see both .25-20 WCF and .32-20 WCF ammunition. The former was $149.99 for a box of 50; the latter a "deal" at $99.99 a box of 50.

First time in probably 3 years. 2 years for sure. Really small one in an American Legion hall. It was disappointing. No black powder, very little reloading supplies - all overpriced. Lots of ammo - all overpriced. Only highlight was a table full of lever-actions, but - just to be consistent - all ov...

Ray, I think you'll like the .45 ACP. I picked up one for an Uberti Cattleman I have. Just gives one a lot of flexibility. Though I handload, primers are just hard to come by, especially large pistol primers, and factory .45 Colt is ridiculously priced. On the other hand, one can pick up .45 ACP rou...

Hi Pat. You have an interesting one there. According to “ Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Firearms 1871-1993 ” by W.E. Goforth, the barrel markings would indicate it was made between 1899 – 1911. Having a serial number without a letter prefix indicates it was made between 1894-1896. And the pate...

Doc, I can't add much to what has already been said. Yes, originals had a problem with the loading lever dropping. Field fix was often a pigging thong or something similar, as a dropping lever isn't just annoying, but can lock up the revolver when most needed. Subsequent models (Transitional, 1st, 2...
