I know it is sort of a clone to the CZ75, and similar to the P35 Hi Power. It feels great in my hand, and I am trying to find a reason to not get one. Around $500 in the Atwoods near me.

A few fears ago, 86er was messing with a 44 Special for hunting. I do not recall what loads he was using, nor what his conclusions were. I wonder how the Ruger GP100 5 shot 44 Special handles. It looks a bit meatier than some. As far as damage from getting shot, I do not want to find out.

Friends out in Ennis, TX have a bunch of yotes around. I need to get a dying rabbit call, or use my squirrel disk squeaker to call them a bit closer and use my 17 WSM on them. 25 grains at nearly 3000 fps makes them slough off the mortal coil really well. I need a green spotlight. All it should take...

45 Colt in the 800 to 850 fps range is pretty pleasant to shoot. Those 230 grain bullets punch deep enough that I sure don't want to be hit with one. I tend toward Hodgdon powders as they are more common in my area.

Ruger gas operated. 23.5 grains H110 and a WLP primer under a 240 grain jhp. Lighter loads do not cycle the action as well as I like. Winchester White box works. I learned to avoid the cheaper stuff. It doesn't always work even for practice. The pigs have never complained.
