The ones I recall seeing in The Winchester Book by Madis looked pretty much identical to the H-K g3 leather slings (without the snap/clip thing on the end). They used to be cheap and plentiful, but recently seem to be out of stock or much more expensive than previous.

One thing Id mention, you asked about a specific Lyman mould number, then said "Keith", to many people, any SWC is a "Keith" bullet, even if its not from one of his moulds. We should try not to use the term "Keith" in regards to generic SWC bullets as it confuses people...

Does your tang sight have a stop pin to set zero with? Some people used a pin ground to length so that when bottomed out it was zeroed. Grind to fit and zero it.

Joe, you may find one on ebay or on the castboolits forum. New moulds are pricey, used are often pretty reasonable. Theres also plenty fo good commercial cast available. as few of the heavies as I shoot, I never bothered with a mould for them.

I dont believe its a trapdoor sight. You can look up parts for them, they varied over time, but none looked quite like that. The side ramps dont look the same for starters, and the other parts arent exact either.

Ive grown more interested in the medium calibers in recent years, the 40-65 is a good general purpose load. Not everything needs to be able to thump grizzlies or moose, though with good loads it may do whats required even there.
